20/4/20 RJPD Session - Remote/Online Learning and Teaching of Mandarin as a School Subject
Theme: Make it "Remote-able" ! - Ideas for Remote/Online Learning and Teaching of Mandarin as a School Subject
This is the second of our RJPD sessions developed by Highdown School and Sixth Form Centre, supported by the Swire Chinese Language Centre Oxford. The aim of the sessions are to gather all current and future colleagues in both practical and theoretical fields to share ideas in order to promote creativity and innovation in Mandarin pedagogy.
This second session will focus on remote learning and teaching of Mandarin as a school subject, in accordance with the current situation. Two mini-workshops will be delivered, focusing on remote lesson delivery and classwork setting via online platforms/tools, and remote independent work setting and collborative learning via online platforms.
A plenary workshop will be organised where all participants are encouraged to share their experience and ideas in remote learning and teaching of Mandarin as a school subject.
This RJPD session will be delivered in an online format. All participants must have a laptop/computer with strong internet connection, and speakers & microphone which work. A guide for installing the software, joining the session, interacting with workshop presenters and other participants will be sent to registered participants at a later date.
In order to maintain the good online delivery quality, the number of participants to the session is limited. Please register yourself via the link below by Wednesday 15th April 2020.
